co-produced | European Film Forum 2011

concept

The second "co-produced | European Film Forum" is to take place in September 2011.

Young European film-makers meet in Halle/Saale, Germany. In co-productions, short films about a not yet determined topic will be produced. Groups of four film-makers face the challenge to produce a short film within 24 hours. They have to overcome cultural barriers and communication difficulties within the international groups. The aim is to show jury and audience a finished short film. On a small scale, cooperation between film-makers in Europe is to be practiced. The groups are to be put together so that homogenous groups with similar interests are formed. There are no restrictions on genres for short films. Although film-makers should deal with the possibilities of cross-media marketing. In workshops it will be discussed, which demands concering media content and format, different media and its users have.

outlook

Now "co-produced | European Film Forum", organised by filmnetz UG and coordinated by the College for media in Halle (HIM), affiliated institute of the Department of Media & Communication at the Martin-Luther- University in Halle is to take place the second time. This cooperation seems sensible on many levels, because juvenile enthusiasm and a talent for organisation are teamed with experience and pedagogic and conceptual know-how and form the best foundation for a successful forum for films.
