The first „European Film Forum“ starts off
In March 2008 the European film forum „co-produced“ will take place in Halle. Filmmakers from spain, poland and germany will produce 5 short films in 24 hours which will we screened, dicussed and presented in the cinema „Kino ZAZIE“ afterwards.
Co-produced is a forum for young people from spain, poland and germany which are interested in film and look for experiences in european exchange. In cooperation of members of three different european countries shortfilms will be produced. The filmmakers will meet in march for 5 days in Halle and produce shortfilms. Becides that tutorials and workshops will be held during that week.
At the beginning of this week the participants wil be part of a presentation to introduce themselfs together with their movies to an audience in the cinema „Kino ZAZIE“. The goal is that the filmmakers exchange their experiences and discuss their work while they get to know each other.
20 participants from 3 european countries will be put in teams of 4 people. One team consists of filmmakers from 2 different nations which work together for the whole time and produce one of 5 shortfilms during that week. But the total time for filming and post-production of their material is just 24 hours. There are no restrictions which genres their film has to be and also the technics are free of choice. The topic of this project will be:

At the end of the European Film Forum all productions will be presented to an audience at the cinema „Kino ZAZIE“. The audience will decide together with a jury about which film will get an award for their best work. After that presentation there will be a party for all the participants and the audience.
Besides the Film Forum an internet plattform will be presented which supports the network of young people who are eighter interested or already working in the film industry all over europe. The film makers from spain, poland an germany are are also welcome to connect their projects and stay in contact after the european film forum Co-produced has finished.
