The film-makers are put up in private lodgings, in an informal atmosphere and they can gain an insight into German life. The application films of the participants will be shown to a special panel in cooperation with “Shortmoves” in the evening. The film-makers will be together on the stage to discuss their contributions among each other and with the audience. On the following days they will work on the concept of their short film. In the relaxed atmosphere of the festival center the film-makers can discuss ideas. They will get additional input from workshops and presentations and they can work on their concepts with experienced dramatic advisers. After that the groups start with the 24 hour shoot. They will be equipped with a complete camera and audio set and light, actors and teams are sent by courier if needed. After exactly 24 hours the shoot and post-production have to be finished and the short film handed in. The next evening, the shortfilms are shown to audience and jury, who both choose their favourites.
